MinaLima Teases Upcoming Illustrated Classic “Snow White”

Although MinaLima is primarily loved and recognized for its graphics featured in the Harry Potter and fantastic beasts film series, the award-winning design studio is also renowned for its beautiful renditions of some of our favorite children’s books. In cooperation with Harper Design, MinaLima has started working on its collection of illustrated classics, in which design team Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima put their unique and whimsical spin on some of history’s greatest fairy tales, in 2015. Well, it looks like we’re getting another one to add to our shelves. Last week, MinaLima teased Snow White and Other Grimm Tales with a look at the Evil Queen.

With only the briefest glimpse of the Evil Queen in the Magic Mirror, we can safely say that this will be yet another gorgeous book to display proudly. The spiers and turrets that make up the outer edge of the castle-shaped mirror are simply breathtaking. As is the case with any MinaLima work, its take on a well-known fairy tale staple is interesting but not shocking. If that tease is any indication of the rest of the artwork, then we know it’s definitely going to be something worth picking up.

Announced in February, Snow White and Other Grimm Tales will be the ninth book in the MinaLima Illustrated Classics collection. MinaLima’s library of illustrated children’s books includes beautiful interpretations of beloved fairy tales with an interactive twist, using contextual elements, maps, dials and letters. The collection currently includes Peter Pan, The jungle Book, The beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and other fairy tales, The secret garden, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, The Adventures of Pinocchioand The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Snow White and Other Grimm Tales is available for Pre-order and is set to hit shelves on November 22.
