San Miguel de Allende (SMA) is in the state of Guanajuato and is located in the central part of Mexico. There’s a lot to love about this city, but it’s only for you if:
- You like pretty things. From the old-school cobblestones, vintage Mexican vibe to the rich colors that run through town, this is a place for lovers of the prettiest of the prettiest things. There’s a reason so many people travel here to get married, after all.
- You prioritize beautiful rentals/Airbnbs above all else. Speaking of pretty things, San Miguel is known (coveted, even) for having some of the finest real estate in the game. Keeping a pretty house is a little more achievable with that kind of motivation.
- Looking for a black entrepreneurial community. There is a long-standing expat community at SMA, so it’s no surprise that black expats are spreading and creating space for black entrepreneurs activity to flourish.
- Looking to experience each of the four seasons in Mexico. The weather is temperate: never sweltering hot and nothing like winters that have to be thrown from memory. If you are ready to experience all four seasons, the charm of San Miguel could be an ideal place for you.
