Yes, you can actually rent your own private island for around $100 a night at certain times of the year. This place is located in Swansboro, NC and it is beautiful. It’s a Tiny House Cabin located on a 4 acre private island.

No boat? No problem. We have a licensed captain who will drive you to and from the island included in your reservation. This is a glamping experience. Prepare for your trip as you would for a tent camping expedition. However, we have many comforts, including a generator, non-potable water barrel, AIR CONDITIONING, infrared fireplace, charcoal grill, propane cooktop and even a hot water shower!
This is a pack-in/pack-out location. Anything you bring with you must be removed from the island. Please respect the marine environment.
The Tiny House Cabin is actually big enough to accommodate six people, so if you were staying a full week, you’d only pay $121 per person for a private island vacation.

TAKE A LOOK AROUND THE ISLAND
Your captain will take you to the dock when you arrive. Here you will disembark for a tour of the island and the local environment.
Bring your boat or take a tour with your own captain! Captain Mikey is a Naval Academy alumnus and resident of Swansboro. You cannot ask for a deeper well of knowledge. Once on the island, kayaks are provided for you to move from shore to shore.

Tiny House Cabin and Dock on John Jones Island. The island has been a famous meeting place for Native Americans and pirates over the years due to its location on what is now the Intra-Coastal Waterway.
On the right is the ICW with deep draft accessibility. On the left is a famous calm water anchorage which has been used for centuries to return from the Atlantic. 4 acres of beautiful island total for your private use.

Propane for high BTU burners is supplied to our customers. Your captain and eco-guide Captain Mikey will explain everything to you if you have any questions.
