Rent Vito Corleone’s ‘The Godfather’ home on Airbnb for under $75 a night

It’s sure to be an offer classic movie fans can’t refuse – an Airbnb rental in upstate New York that served as the home of Vito Corleone (played by Marlon Brando) in the iconic 1972 film. The Godfather is available for hire until August.

The English Tudor Staten Island House at 110 Longfellow Avenue has been listed as a 30-night stay to celebrate the legendary mafia film’s 50th anniversary.

In keeping with the 50th anniversary theme, the one-time rental is a bargain at just US$50 ($73) per night or US$1,500 ($2,200) for the month.

Up to five people will have private access to the 5,280 square meter space which includes five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, plus amenities like a saltwater swimming pool, basement pub, games room and a gym.

Reservations open at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 27 for the August 1-31 period.

The residence built in 1930 has undergone renovations and is completely modernized inside, although it is still recognizable from the outside for its role in the famous film.

Located in the affluent neighborhood of Todt Hill, only the exterior of the house was used in the film, according to New York Post.

Fans will remember the opening scene from the garden party wedding reception of Vito’s daughter, Connie Corleone (played by Talia Shire). It was supposed to be Corleone’s house on Long Island in the movie.

The majestic rug last sold in 2016 for US$2.4 million ($3.5 million).

Next door at 120 Longfellow is a residence that served as the home of Michael Corleone (Al Pacino).

Just steps from this front door, petty crook Carlo Rizzi was punched by a member of the Corleone crime family.

“The film crew used a total of three houses in this immediate area for the film, building an artificial door there to create the impression of a compound, as well as neighborhood children as extras. [sic],” the Job said.
