Robert Englund looks at A Nightmare on Elm Street House for sale

The House of Freddy is now for sale and whoever the new owner is, he may be having a nightmare himself, both literally and possibly financially. Freddy Krueger himself has a few thoughts on this.

When leaving LAX, Robert englund, who played Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, spoke to TMZ who asked him about the Rue de l’Orme house that is for sale. The home is located in the Spaulding Square neighborhood of Los Angeles and is listed at $ 3,250,000. People trying to sell the house don’t hesitate to mention its connection to the classic Wes Craven horror flick with photos of someone standing in front of the facade in a Freddy Krueger outfit. The house has also been used in television commercials and print advertisements.

According to TMZ, the house also features “3 bedrooms in the 2-story main house and walnut floors, a master suite, an open kitchen, patios, decks and a bunch of patio doors.” There is also a lovely swimming pool in the courtyard, next to beautiful trees and a separate guest house.

Englund gave some suggestions on who he thinks should buy the house, naming other horror icons that could make great home owners.

“Maybe Jason or Pinhead,” Englund said. “Keep it in the family.”

Englund also says that the people who live there have to deal with a lot of adoring fans and that Halloween probably brings a lot of people to the house. When asked if the house should be on a possible makeover show, Englund suggests a possible idea for a new reality show.

“Real housewives from hell,” Englund said.

In addition to using the house for filming, Englund also mentioned that he parked outside the house when he paid his union dues for the Screen Actors Guild. He certainly has an attachment to this house.

Englund has played the role of Krueger eight times; the last time being Freddy vs. Jason in 2003. In 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street remake, the role was played by Jackie Earle Haley. However, Englund’s performance is what made Krueger one of the most iconic and terrifying killers in all of horror movies.

This house is only one part of a collection of famous movie theaters that have become legendary due to their place in the history of cinema. There are several houses that you can visit or possibly live in depending on how it works. For example, the house in A Christmas Story is now an Airbnb where you can even stay in Ralphie’s room from the movie. Many of these houses are private residences, however, many films only use these houses for exterior shots anyway.

People who had the Rue de l’Orme house on the market were accepting offers until Halloween, so it’s possible that someone became the lucky – or perhaps unlucky – owner of that house. Freddy may soon have another set of victims whose dreams he could turn into nightmares. It comes to us from TMZ.
