Sandringham Estate: Queen Elizabeth II’s Garden Home is available to rent on Airbnb. What’s inside the Sandringham Estate house?
The name of the house is The Garden House, formerly the residence of the Queen’s Head Gardener and the closest property to the Royal Family’s most expensive retreat, Sandringham House. Sandringham House, one of the UK’s most historic estates, is located in the Norfolk Coast region (designated as the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.)
For over a century, Sandringham House has played a part in royal history built for Prince of Wales Albert Edward. Later, when George VI died on February 6, 1952 at Sandringham, he passed the estate to Queen Elizabeth II. The queen stays nearly two months each winter on the estate.
The Garden House, which shares the estate with the neighboring historic property, is now taking reservations on Airbnb. The house is a perfect centerpiece to the beautiful garden which stretches across the esteemed estate and a feast of the great British countryside. As for the most magnificent asset of the house, it is undoubtedly the land. But when it comes to representing the rural environment of the place, decorative ideas steal the show.
The artwork and furnishings of the Garden House were once housed in a royal residence. The best proof of this is the dining room, decorated with antiques.
A living room and a functional kitchen overlook the garden apart from the magnificent dining room. You can choose a double bed or a super-king in two rooms available when booking.
Weather permitting, you can have a charcoal barbecue or dine alfresco on a paved patio in the garden, which also has a dining table. Outside the house the enclosed garden is also excellent for walking.
Amanda Cupples said she was delighted to have the Garden House to book on Airbnb. She also added that the chalet is “a perfect retreat for guests” who are looking for an authentic and unique stay. She is Airbnb’s General Manager for Northern Europe.
