‘Saturday Night Live’ Ratings Drop To Low With Host Rami Malek – Deadline

Last night’s telecast of Saturday Night Live with host Rami Malek and musical guest Young Thug achieved a Live + Same Say household rating of 3.4 in the 44 local metered markets and 1.3 in 18-49 in the 25 local metered markets.

That was down on last week’s show, hosted by Kim Kardashian West with musical guest Halsey (3.8, 1.6). Last night’s telecast, which featured surprise appearances from Malek no time to die co-star Daniel Craig, tied the all-time demo in LPM markets displayed by the last two episodes of SNL’s Season 46 as well as the premiere of Season 47 two weeks ago. It set a new low in metered market households.

The ratings are expected to rise next week with host Jason Sudeikis. A popular cast member’s return as a host always draws a crowd and in this case, Emmy-winning Sudeikis is also the star of a hit TV series, Apple TV+. Ted Lasso.

On YouTube, in addition to the NFL-themed Cold Open, the squid game parody, Prince’s bio audition, Rami Malek-Pete Davidson impersonation swap, weekend update and Malek’s opening monologue, getting the most views on Sunday morning is the skit of Mattress Store and the Airbnb Superhosts skit and the Brutal Marriage movie.
