Ever wanted to get a taste of the world of French opulence and glamour?

A new Airbnb opportunity is offering just that to a handful of individuals.

For the first time, the Moulin Rouge windmill opens its doors to visitors.

The legendary Paris landmark will be available for booking for one night – with a secret chamber inside designed to transport guests back in time to the late 19th century.

It has never been open to the public before, so the Belle Époque-inspired boudoir is very special.

Available for just $1 per night, guests can enjoy a night in the secluded room inside the Windmill, plus backstage access to the theater, a three-course French meal, and best seats for the famous Féerie du Moulin Rouge show.

To put guests in the cabaret spirit, the room will be filled with art nouveau elements – including a miniature paper stage – a dressing room with glamorous accessories and a private roof terrace with period garden furniture .

Principal dancer Claudine Van Den Bergh will open the doors of the refuge and lead three individual one-night stays, for two guests each, on June 13, 20 and 27.

“Attending a show at the Moulin Rouge offers an escape from everyday life and an incredible immersion in the glamor and grandeur of the French Music Hall,” says Claudine Van Den Bergh.

“The Belle Époque-inspired interior of our much-loved windmill will transport guests to the era from which this timeless cabaret emerged.”

Anyone wishing to request these exclusive stays can do so through Airbnb websiteTuesday, May 17 from 6 p.m.
