Strictly Come Dancing returns to Blackpool as BBC viewers celebrate

Come dance strictly returned to Blackpool for the first time since 2019 as fans celebrate.

The BBC dance competition has launched its highly anticipated Blackpool Special dazzlingly with the professional dancers who perform among the resort’s famous funfair attractions.

The prestigious Tower Ballroom is a fan favorite as many viewers rejoiced that the Strictly stars were back after two years due to the Covid pandemic.

The landmark special opened with a dedication to the area by locals, as it reflected the importance of the city’s relationship with the show.

Performing New Radicals’ You’ve Got The Music In You, the professional dancers and judges burst onto the dance floor with a rousing performance.

Co-host Tess Daly introduced the show saying, “Hello and welcome to Strictly Come Dancing, it’s been three long years and we’re finally back in the ballroom house.”

At home, BBC viewers celebrated the return of the dance series to the iconic ballroom.

One fan wrote: “Still emotional watching #StrictlyComeDancing in Blackpool! So glad I staged key scenes in #AlbertEntwistle in the tower ballroom – it’s my favorite play in the world !”
