Taco Bell in Bangkok … – Live and Let’s Fly

There is a new Taco Bell in Bangkok and I couldn’t help but try it on my recent trip.

Taco Bell in Bangkok? Yes please.

I spent three days in Bangkok and I promise to share all the details of my stay shortly, including my arrival at Suvarnabhumi airport, quarantine and stay at the hotel. I had a great time and after almost three years it was great to be back in Thailand.

But today just a big thank you to Taco Bell for trying to enter the Thai market. The last time I was in Bangkok, Taco Bell was not present. But on my way to the Grand Hyatt, I passed the Taco Bell a few blocks away.

I had to try it.

Wait. Coming to Thailand for Taco Bell? Are you crazy?

Yeah yeah. I understand. But no excuse for trying my favorite American fast food chain in Bangkok just like I did in Tokyo.

Sadly, the place was empty… I’m not sure Thais really want to shell out for (relatively) expensive American Tex-Mex when they live in a land of delicious food.

But I have to say that I enjoyed my cheese quesadilla, my beef taco and my nachos. A calorie bomb certainly, but a good comfort food after his release from quarantine. It really hit the spot and was cheaper than US prices.

So if you are in Bangkok on a long trip and feeling a bit nostalgic, Taco Bell is open until 10 p.m. daily and has good comfort food. You can also have it delivered via the Grab app.

For those who travel more regularly to Bangkok than I do, do you have any good Mexican food recommendations during your stay? Wherever I am in the world, I am always up for Mexican food.
