Cassie Celebrates 1 Year Sobriety in ‘The Flight Attendant’ Season 2 Episode 2
Despite the predicament Cassie finds herself in as soon as The stewardess Season 2 opens, Episode 2 gives it something to celebrate. She’s officially been sober for a year on “Mushrooms, Tasers, and Bears, Oh My!” And his Alcoholics Anonymous group honors this milestone with a chip.
Her brother pays her a visit for the occasion and her boyfriend, Marco (Santiago Cabrera), shows up to offer his support. On the surface, everything in Cassie’s life seems to have improved. Of course, there remains the question of the person impersonating her and the bloody wig in her suitcase.
And these remain at the forefront of her mind, even as she celebrates her sobriety. As everyone around her focuses on what she’s accomplished, Cassie sets her sights on a possible lead: her co-worker, Grace (Mae Martin).
Episode 2 sees Cassie pursue a possible lead
While everyone around Cassie praises her for staying sober, Kaley Cuoco’s character proves she hasn’t completely changed since then. The stewardess Season 1.
In The stewardess Season 2 Episode 2, Cassie comes up with a theory about who is impersonating her. She thinks her new colleague, Grace, might be behind what happened in Berlin. And although Annie (Zosia Mamet) advises her to stay away from the whole situation, Cassie dives headfirst into it.
Cassie tries to make plans with Grace, and when her colleague refuses, she follows her everywhere. She sees Grace retrieving a mysterious package. However, a reunion later in the episode seemingly clears Grace’s name. It looks like Grace sells Fentanyl to people with cancer. It’s not exactly legal, but it’s also not up to what Cassie suspected.
Cassie also gets a glimpse of Grace’s back while she’s in the shower, confirming that she doesn’t have an identical tattoo. On top of that, her scent doesn’t match the one Cassie smelled in Berlin, which means Grace is no longer the number one suspect. Of course, that doesn’t reassure Cassie. Because if Grace doesn’t impersonate her, who does?
What’s going on with Megan Briscoe?
As Cassie tries to figure out who’s impersonating her, The stewardess Season 2 Episode 2 offers brief glimpses of Megan Briscoe (Rosie Perez). Hard to say what she is doing this season. The first episode saw her calling Cassie, and it looked like she was in trouble. However, “Mushrooms, tases and bears, oh my!” does not explain this.
Instead, the latest episode sees Megan collecting poisonous plants. It’s unclear who she’s trying to use them on — Utada (Margaret Cho), the woman she seems to be staying with, the people she was spying on during the first episode, or someone else entirely.
Whatever Megan does, it’s clear she’s trying to get Cassie a message. She sends a series of Emojis to her son, who passes them on. Unfortunately, Cassie doesn’t know what they mean. And she is unlikely to devote much time to it, especially since she is trying to solve her own mystery.
‘The Flight Attendant’ Season 2 Will Give Annie Her Own Subplot
Megan isn’t the only supporting character to have a subplot in The stewardess Season 2 Episode 2. Annie discovers herself this season, and she’s not used to being so lost. The second episode sees her go for an interview, but things don’t go so well. As she says, “Imagine the worst date ever and set it on fire.” And honestly, that’s an apt description.
Luckily, she has Cassie and Max (Deniz Akdeniz) to back her up. And she and Max have a distraction, since they’re now invested in helping Cassie solve her mystery. Both use the View-Finder to search for clues. However, their intervention could put them in danger. In fact, the end of the episode suggests they’re already in trouble.
When the two return to Cassie’s after dinner, they find Esteban (Joseph Julian Soria) trying to break into Cassie’s house. Although she met the man in Berlin, they have no idea who he is. And he defuses the situation, saying he’s staying at an Airbnb and he can’t tell the difference between all the houses.
Of course, when Gabrielle (Callie Hernandez) emerges from the house across the street, things take an even stranger turn. Not only does Gabrielle hold a gun behind her back, but she has the owners tied up inside the house.
It’s unclear how Esteban and Gabrielle take Cassie’s story into account, but their looks don’t sit well with her. Let’s hope she understands before it’s too late.
The first two episodes of The stewardess Season 2 airs on HBO Max.
