The latest blockbuster is now on Airbnb, hosting a late summer slumber party for just $4 a night

The last existing Blockbuster video store is hosting a late summer slumber party for $4, according to a listing on Airbnb. The Bend, Oregon store can accommodate four people in a studio apartment with one bathroom. The section of the store appears to have been reconfigured to look like a bedroom, according to the listing.

“We have missed the regular visits from friends, neighbors and tourists from around the world over the past few months. So we’re opening our store to three quarantine groups of Deschutes County guests for a socially distanced movie night, just like those in decades past! the listing says on Airbnb.

“Whether you want to stay up until sunrise or pass out on the sofa, we’ve created the perfect space with a sofa bed, ottomans and pillows for you to relax with the ‘new versions’ of 90s,” he continues.

“Open two liters of Pepsi before diving into a video game, plotting your future in a game of MASH or watching movie after movie. But beware of reciting “Bloody Mary” in the staff bathroom next to the break room, because you might summon the ghost that is said to haunt the store. And help yourself to some NERDS, Raisinets, and popcorn (heavy on the butter), but be sure to save room for a few slices,” they added.

The listing says they follow Airbnb’s strict cleaning protocol set out by CDC guidelines. The store will also provide those sleeping with an endless pack of face coverings, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.

“Our BLOCKBUSTER store is open because of Bend’s amazing local community, and we’re grateful to have the support of those beyond our town as the coronavirus pandemic has impacted our business,” indicates the list. “To celebrate and further this tradition of support, Airbnb will make a donation to the Humane Society of Central Oregon, a longtime partner of ours.”
