Takeoff’s death was confirmed by a representative of the Houston Police Department, according Varietyas well as a representative of Migos, the Associated press reported.
Le, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was reportedly shot dead in a bowling alley following an altercation.
In a statement posted to Twitter, Houston police, without naming the victims, confirmed that one individual had been pronounced dead. at the stagewhile two others the victims were taken to hospital.
Migos member Quavo was also on the scene when the shooting took place, NBC affiliate KPRC-TV reportedciting police.
Between 40 and 50 people were present at the scene when the shooting took place, but the cause of the altercation that led to the shooting remains to be determined, the report adds.

This marks just the latest death of a young, high-profile rapper. In September, 30-year-old rapper PnB Rock was beaten down during a robbery at a restaurant in Los Angeles, but he managed to to register his girlfriend’s life by throwing her under a table. In November 2020, King Von was shot dead in a hookah bar in Atlanta after two groups of people started filming each other. He was 26 years old. Earlier that year, 20-year-old Pop Smoke was shot and killed in Los Angeles by a group of masked thieves who entered an AirBnB property where he was staying. In 2019, 33-year-old hip-hop star Nipsey Hustle was shot dead in the parking lot of his store in Los Angeles.
