The Terre Haute Cabin makes the list of the best rentals in the United States

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A cabin here in the Wabash Valley has been added to a list of the best places to rent across the country.

Thrillist recently published an article detailing some of the best cabins to stay in across the United States. Offering unique cabin options in several different states, Thrillist has compiled many beautiful places to stay with a wide range of styles, designs, and amenities.

“Whatever you fancy, you have to admit there is something particularly comforting about the cabins. It’s the rustic wooden construction, the glowing fireplace, the view of ponds, mountains and forests…. The sight of a cabin, even in a photo, seems to send some kind of deep, primal message to our cabin-loving hearts.

Being the only rental in the state of Indiana to make the list, Peaceful Pines is a property located a short drive just south of Terre Haute. Currently priced at $206 a night, the traditional log cabin sits on eight acres next to a small pond and offers multiple amenities, like a screened-in porch, wrap-around deck, heated floor tiles, hot tub whirlpool, a guest house and Suite.

Peaceful Pines is run by two hosts, Joni and Doris. You can contact Airbnb host Joni, who has been awarded Superhost for multiple high ratings, to plan a stay in the three-bedroom large cabin for six people. According to Joni’s profile, the cabin is owned by Indiana natives.

“During all my Airbnb stays, I’ve wanted to host/own one for myself…and now I have two! My husband and I grew up in Indiana and spend a lot of time there, so having a cabin getaway in Terre Haute was such a fun experience.”
