Toronto’s Holts Café to Host Decadent Lunar New Year Tea Pop-Up

Fancy something a little different this Lunar New Year? Holts Café offers a pop-up tea experience at its two Toronto locations with a delicious menu of savory and sweet treats concocted by Holts’ esteemed chefs.

The menu items are high tea classics with an Asian twist, like scones and toppings, barbecue duck, milk cake and egg tart, accompanied by fine Sloane teas, a Canadian woman-owned brand. Dishes are described as a combination of creative flavors and local produce.

Yorkville and Yorkdale cafes are both offering take-out tea menus from January 26 and take-out from January 31.

Some of the mouth-watering dishes on the Bloor Cafe menu include Peking Duck and Cucumber Sandwiches, Bahn Mi Tofu, and Five Spice Crab Salad. As for the sweet options, you’ll have the chance to sink your teeth into sesame balls, raspberry tarts, mango and pomelo pudding, and more.

Now that indoor dining is back, you can enjoy your treats in the warm and stylish atmosphere of Holts Café, which is part of the fun when it comes to high tea.

But, if feasting in pajamas sounds more appealing to you, many Toronto restaurants are offering special take-out treats for Lunar New Year.
