Toronto’s popular outdoor flower market returns next month

The Toronto Flower Market returns to the city this spring after a few years of absence, brightening up our weekends.

If you’ve never been there, the Toronto Flower Market is the first outdoor market of its kind in the city. It celebrates and supports the flowers and plants grown in Ontario while connecting growers and florists directly to the city.

Founded in May 2013, the market season runs monthly from May to October and its first return is on Saturday 7th May.

“Over the years, the market has cultivated a passionate local floral community of growers, florists, designers, gardeners and growers who transform the city into creative flora and fauna experiences. Our goal is to develop stories and engagements with flowers that educate consumers about seasonality,” states the event’s website.

“No two flower market Saturdays are alike. Each has its own unique combination of growers and florists, their buckets full of locally grown flowers that month,” says the Toronto Flower Market. “The colors and varieties available change with the seasons, but the smiles of our guests, vendors and volunteers are a constant.

We are definitely ready for colorful spring flowers!
