Travelodge hotel plans for Bournemouth, Lyme Regis, Dorchester and more

The hotel company has announced that it is currently interested in developing Travelodge hotels, either alone or as part of a mixed-use scheme, in Bournemouth, Lyme Regis, Dorchester, Shaftesbury, Blandford Forum and Swanage.

The mission, they say, is to develop hundreds more Travelodge hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain.

Travelodge UK Development Director Tony O’Brien said: “Over the past five years we have opened over 80 new Travelodges across Britain.

“We are currently looking for development opportunities that could incorporate a new Travelodge hotel, either on its own or as part of a mixed-use scheme, and will consider new developments and conversions of existing buildings and hotels operated by other brands. ”

Last year Travelodge opened 17 new hotels, in locations such as Bristol, Kendal, Leicester, London, Mansfield, Poole, Rochdale, Sandwich, St Albans and Witney and aims to open a similar number each year.

The company asks interested parties with details of a site or hotel in Dorset suitable for redevelopment as a Travelodge, to contact South West and South Wales Development Manager (DM), Steve Tyler, on 07917 242682 or [email protected].

“This list is not exhaustive and deputy ministers will be happy to consider all opportunities in their fields,” added Mr. O’Brien.
