Two Rivers has the coolest AirBnB in Wisconsin: Condé Nast Traveler

WISCONSIN — A four-bedroom home in Two Rivers has been selected as the coolest Airbnb in Wisconsin, as Condé Nast Traveler compiled a list of Airbnbs in all 50 states. The best ads are run by a Superhost with a rating of 4.8 or higher.

The Airbnb is a huge modern house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, located one mile from Lake Michigan. This chic block has red brick interior and exterior walls, wooden ceilings and was featured in a 1938 issue of Life magazine.

Conde Nast Traveler’s list of the coolest Airbnbs include a Bywater mansion in New Orleans dating to the 1880s and a prefabricated metal caterpillar dome house in Detroit.

The Two Rivers Airbnb has a 63-foot-long living room, a time capsule library, and is ideal for all seasons, Airbnb hosts said.

Because the rental of the house was meant to be lived as it was completed in 1940, the house has no air conditioning, the Airbnb hosts said. However, climatic conditions caused by Lake Michigan keep the city about 15 degrees cooler than inland, and the house has fans and screened windows when it’s hot.

Renters can enhance their vintage experience by visiting Machut’s Supper Club for a roast chicken dinner and an old-fashioned meal, Condé Nast Traveler added.
