Please welcome this week’s Nashville FACE, Sweet Jasmine!

Can you give us the CliffsNotes version of your route?

I am a business woman leading a family life as a wife and new mother. That’s the short story! I am married to my girlfriend of 13 years, Alex Sweet, and we are the parents of Reign Sweet. I have a BA in Broadcast Journalism, but instead of going that route with my career, I’ve been doing business marketing for over 10 years in higher education, healthcare, entertainment, finance, etc. . I also hold an MBA. Currently, I run weekly technology marketing campaigns for iHeart Headquarter.

What prompted you to create a lifestyle blog?

I’ve always felt compelled to share because the best advice comes from the people you know. I love social media and the idea that our inspiration, our next vacation, our educational opportunities and so much more come from all of us sharing what we know and what we’ve been exposed to. Additionally, I enjoy creating content; I still have. Before the days of blogging, I wrote short stories in my journals, created scrapbooks, and shared all things by any means necessary. Today, my blog and my social networks reflect my real life, from marriage to motherhood to marketing. This is the race of it.

The lifestyle space is quite saturated, but your content resonates with so many people! What do you attribute its success to?

I think social media has made us all look for the next big opportunity to “get it” and do it quickly and easily. Nothing in my life is like that, and that’s what I share. I did not enter a successful blogging career. I didn’t get my job at iHeart. Instead, I lent my time and energy accordingly and prepared to seize these opportunities. I think that’s my success in the lifestyle business. He gives genuine hope.

What marketing tips do you have for someone considering getting into lifestyle blogging?

Invest in quality rather than quantity. So many people think they should just post everyday to get something out there. Plan to create beautiful works of art, whether visually or contextually, and then share them with the world. First impressions count. Every impression counts, and that’s how you attract and retain your audience.

You are a busy woman. What surprises people the most in your career?

It surprises people that I can work full time and run my blog full time. I plan effectively, take breaks where needed, and defend myself in both spaces to be clear and consistent with my goals.

What are the top three can’t-miss topics you’ve blogged about lately?

  1. Hosting friends and family is a unique opportunity.
  2. Celebrating life is a MUST!
  3. Young professionals should explore remote work destinations.

You write a lot about travel. Which destination is still on your bucket list?

I would love to visit the Maldives and truly get away on a relaxing vacation where I am distracted by absolutely nothing.

And closer to home, what are your favorite shopping spots here in Nashville? We’re always looking forward to seeing what outfit you post next!

I love shopping at To be able to. The Nashville Showroom is ideal for all things glamorous.

What are some of your style inspirations and favorite brands?

I’m no longer pregnant, but I’ve had a hard time finding the best jeans for moms-to-be, so I have to clarify that Joe’s jeans had the best. I also like AFRM! They have such stylish pieces that fit well on all sizes. From pre-pregnancy to post-pregnancy, AFRM pieces carried me. As well, Daily Bomb Mode inspires me.

Who are the women who have inspired and mentored you?

My sisters are so inspiring! Valerie was nominated for a Grammy this year and made her Grand Ole Opry debut. My other sister is a regional manager for a medical device company. They both maxed out their careers, and I’m still proud of them. I am so lucky to follow in their footsteps.

How do you navigate life as a new mom and all your creative endeavours?

I honestly take it one day at a time. I’ve always been organized, and for that, I’m grateful. I had Reign four weeks earlier, moved into a new house a week later, designed and set up an Airbnb during that time, and still had collabs to complete – all of that before Christmas, and while taking care of myself and my daughter.

Above all, Reign comes first, then I sort everything from there. This is where organization comes in. I thrive on connecting the dots and making things happen. I will always transition and learn to do my best for mom’s new life and my creative endeavours.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received was to continue my studies. Never stop learning. It has served me well in every transition of my life, from undergraduate school to college, from marriage to mortgage to marketing. I have always dreamed of knowing more and doing more.

Besides faith, family and friends, what are three things you can’t live without?

These days, I can’t live without my phone, my vacation, or my laughter. My husband and I navigate newborn life with countless lists on our phones to keep us on track. The holidays keep me honest with my work-life balance. Finally, I have never laughed so much in my life as a new mom. My husband and I often laugh with delirium and pure joy!

Thanks for sharing your story, Jasmine, and thanks to Olivia Dixon for the pictures !
