FIRST LOOK: FOR KOREAN FOOD, TAKE A TRIP TO CORTLAND: Yori House is a new Korean restaurant in Cortland that debuted at the local farmer’s market in 2017. Last year, owners Peter and Lee Han bought an old bar on the corner of Elm and Pomeroy streets, but Covid-19 forced them to to open as a take-out restaurant only. Their loyal market customers followed them in droves. The Hans finally opened their dining room a few weeks ago, offering dishes such as shiitake mushroom buns (top left), bulgogi (top right) and kimchi pasta (center). . What is the trend

Abandoned by most party leaders, can Cuomo survive? Governor Andrew Cuomo faces the biggest threat in his political life – and he’s not backing down. The Democrat’s denials of sexual harassment and misconduct may not be enough to save his career, or even allow him to complete his third term. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer and even President Joe Biden have called for his resignation. Can Cuomo survive when all the top Democrats give up on him?

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF THE CUOMO SURVEY:

Covid-19: More and more New York counties are meeting CDC guidelines for indoor masks: According to federal guidelines, more New York counties are seeing enough transmission of Covid-19 to revert to indoor masking. A total of 31 counties in the state are experiencing significant or high Covid transmission, including Onondaga County. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that even vaccinated people wear masks indoors at these levels. See the full list of counties.

MORE ABOUT CORONAVIRUS:

Another CNY city bans short-term rentals: Authorities in the city of Salina are banning short-term rentals such as AirBnb and VRBO in residential areas of the city. City council voted 4 to 1 earlier this month to enact the measure, saying short-term rentals are more like business ventures and undermine the character of neighborhoods.

Look ahead

No cash at the gates of the state fair this summer: There are many ways to get New York State Fair tickets this summer, both in advance and at the fairgrounds. Don’t expect to pay for your ticket in cash at the door, however; this is not an option this year. Here is how you can get tickets.

Plan your weekend: During that first full weekend in August, some of downtown New York’s favorite events return. Empire Farm Days return to Onondaga County for the first time since 1987; DeWitt’s Canal Day and Paige’s Butterfly Run return after being canceled last year; and the Salt City Collect-A-Con will return after a two-year absence. Here are 14 events not to miss.
