Woman, 20, claims she ‘wanted to die’ after being sex trafficked for three years from age 15

A young woman who said she reached a point where she ‘wanted to die’ after being sex trafficked between the ages of 15 and 18 has opened up about her horrific three-year ordeal.

Allison Heagle, now 20, says she was just 15 when she was cared for by an older man in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, whom she had met at work.

“I really thought I had lost my mind, I couldn’t form full sentences and I was always on high alert, everything became a threat,” she said, addressing the daily star. “Simply put it was very very traumatic, I was in a constant state of paralyzing fear and honestly I got to a point where I just wanted to die.”

The 20-year-old, who now works as a waiter and is an aspiring singer and songwriter, alleged that she was traded and sold for sex in Colorado and later Arizona, and consumed daily alcohol and drugs so that she does not. do not retaliate.

Allison moved to Chandler, Arizona, but said the older man, who she initially thought was 21, ordered people to follow her there, where she was again treated.

Recalling the first time she spent a night out with the abuser, Allison claimed he snuck her out the window of her parents’ house, before feeding her copious amounts of alcohol to kill her. can “barely walk”.

She claims that when she finally returned, she found herself naked and surrounded by sick people.

Allison said that was when the horrific three-year ordeal began.

She said this ultimately led to her developing Stockholm Syndrome, a psychological condition that sees many kidnap victims grow attached to their tormentors – no matter how badly they are abused.

“I was in a constant state of fear so even when I was running away the only constant thing I knew was my traffickers so I always came back,” she added.

Allison, who alleged that her trafficker would often be caught up in various crimes, went on to say that following the grooming, she began to press charges for her actions.

In January 2020, she was arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft, theft of vehicle, criminal trespassing, identity theft and theft control of stolen property.

But while some of her friends eventually turned a blind eye to her problems and blamed them on drug addiction, Allison’s parents never stopped looking for her and used photos she uploaded to try and find her. his location.

However, the turning point came when a man arrived to install cameras at an Airbnb where she was being held captive.

Realizing she was in trouble, he gave her his phone number and urged her to text “popcorn” and his address if she ever needed his help.

Two days later, this text was exchanged and it helped her escape. According to Allison, it was just in time.

Speaking of her captors, she said: “They were talking in front of me about what they were going to do and being sent to Mexico or being killed were my two options.”

Now it’s been two years since Allison’s horrific ordeal has returned and she’s back with her family.

She decided to speak out to warn others of the signs to look out for when dealing with a human trafficker. Among them is the offer of things you don’t have or wouldn’t like – like money, drugs, and a place to live.

Allison, who advised visiting humantraffickinghotline.org, said sex traffickers often offer extravagant lives and pray for the most vulnerable – from drug addicts to the homeless.

She went on to say that a trafficked person is often underweight, has bruises and is constantly in the company of a man or a woman.

She recently started a GoFundMe page, where she wrote: “I have legal repercussions for the man who seriously abused and trafficked me”.

“He is currently in prison, so he will not be held responsible for these same charges. Short story, I took the blame for what he did and practically forced me to be involved. I knew it would separate us.
