You can now stay at The Godfather Mansion on AirBnb

You too might believe in America after hearing the news that Vito Corleone’s mansion of The Godfather is available for rent at Airbnb.

The iconic crime film, widely considered the pinnacle of the genre, turns 50e anniversary this year and it looks like the festivities are more than just a movie rerun. The English Tudor House, located in Staten Island, is available for rent for the duration of August.

The house is over 6,200 square feet and will cost just $50 per night for the month. This affordable price is in honor of the film’s half-century.

However, don’t expect things to look familiar inside as only the exterior of the house was used in Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece. It’s a familiar disappointment to anyone who’s ever visited the Cheers bars in boston.

The house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms with Airbnb suggesting it would be ideal for a family of two adults and three children.

In The Godfather, Don Corleone’s Long Island home features most memorably in the opening scene, a garden wedding reception that sets the tone for everything that follows.

The home was built in 1930 and recently sold for $2.4 million in 2016, so it’s safe to say $1,500 for the month is pretty good value. It really is an offer you can’t refuse since the house next door served as the home of Vito’s son, Michael, memorably played by Al Pacino.

The owner notes:

“This is our family home, so please read the house rules carefully before asking to book. We are located in a quiet area, so please no outside or additional guests at any time.”

So, in short, no one should interrupt the party or they’ll be about as welcome as they were on the Don’s daughter’s wedding day.
