JP Morgan Chase has officially started building its first branch in Birmingham. Located on 20th Street, this new location was announced by the company in 2019, but was recently approved for branch establishment. According to an article from Birmingham Business Journal, it will include an open space, self-service transaction spaces, digital access bar, smart ATMs and free Wi-Fi. Chase clients will also have access to the Chase Private Client team, financial advisors and home loans and corporate banking relationship managers.

Birmingham’s high traffic and growth is what appealed to the company and the reason it chose to set up its first Alabama branch in Birmingham. PS—they’re hiring.

Golden Rule in Pelham has officially closed. This update was posted on Facebook regarding the Pelham and Helena sites.

“With great sadness, I have to let everyone know that I have to close the Golden Rule BBQ in Pelham and Helena. We have never been able to recover from all the diverse impacts the past two years have put on the business… I don’t know what God has for me after I complete this painful shutdown, but I do know that He has me and He has you too.

– Golden Rule BBQ, Facebook

Whether you’ve been there 20 times or never set foot, the communities of Helena and Pelham are feeling the loss. While we’re sad to see the locations disappear, we’re excited for what’s to come for the Golden Rule team.

That’s all we have for now, Birmingham! Be sure to turn on post notifications on our instagram so as not to miss anything.
