The official trailer for Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson’s latest movie The man from Toronto just dropped, and as the name suggests, much of it was filmed in and around the city.

Although many movies and TV shows are filmed in Toronto, few of them actually take place in the city, so when we finally get there, it’s pretty exciting. The general premise of the movie is this: Teddy, played by Kevin Hart, is a New York City loser who heads into the woods for a stay at an Airbnb cabin. There he is mistaken for “The Man From Toronto” who happens to be one of the deadliest assassins in the world.

Now, of course, the trailer might be riddled with people who can’t pronounce Toronto correctly (all but one of the actors hit the second ‘T’ hard, including Harrelson himself who plays the real Man From Toronto ) and yes, the only skyline visible in the trailer is that of Miami, but it’s also filled with a handful of extremely identifiable places in Toronto. Even construction under the Gardiner Expressway is showing up, and you can’t really get more of Toronto than that.

The film’s cast and crew have been spotted filming all around the GTA, so there’s bound to be even more recognizable landmarks popping up on the big screen, but until then, here are all the GTA locations that you can spot in the The man from Toronto trailer.

The Gardiner Underpass

In what appears to be a chase scene, Black Escalades are seen flying down Toronto’s Lake Shore Boulevard under the Gardiner. While the idea that anyone could go that fast on Lake Shore among all the backup cars trying to access the freeway is pure fantasy, as the camera pans past some orange construction pylons and fences of site, it brings things back to reality.

CBC Home in Toronto

It may be adorned with red banners, funky colored lights and hanging sculptural art, making it hard to recognize, but the lobby of the CBC building on Front Street West features heavily in the film. From the trailer, the building appears to have been used as headquarters for some sort of seedy operation in which Hart and Harrelson’s characters get mixed up.

Heart Lake Conservation Area

Despite the name, much of the film was actually shot in Brampton, including the Heart Lake Conservation Area. A lakeside lot was used as the setting for the Airbnb cabin, which, oddly enough, was built temporarily just for the film. Passers-by at the time of filming reported see teams bring in furniture and landscaping to make the setting look authentic.

Milton’s Main Street

Milton was another great filming location for The man from Toronto, and during a police chase shown in the trailer, a handful of police cars can be seen speeding down Main Street East. They fly over places like St. Paul’s Church and Grill Daddy’s restaurant, trying – supposedly – to catch the man from Toronto.

The Ivy Arms pub

Milton got plenty of screen time in the trailer, with the parking lot being the Ivy Arms – a local Irish pub – being the site of a massive explosion that sends a car into the air, and Hart and Harrelson flee. It’s one of the most tense parts of the trailer, but it’s also probably the most exciting Milton has seen in years.
