Floyd “Tiny House” Owner Wins Virginia’s Most Hospitable Airbnb Host

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – This week Airbnb announced the most hospitable host in the entire Commonwealth of Virginia.

Floyd’s Hari Berzins won the feat with his announcement “Small house. “

“The criterion was to achieve a 5-star review rate of 100% in the categories of Cleanliness, Check-in and Communication (with a minimum of 100 reviews). There were seven hosts in Virginia who achieved this accolade, but Hari had the most reviews, which is how they got the # 1 designation, ”a statement from Airbnb read.

Berzins garnered nearly 500 reviews in his tin house, never once achieving a rating below 5 stars in the categories reviewed.

In addition to being # 1 in Virginia, Hari ranks # 2 in the entire United States among Hosts who achieved this standard, just behind a Host in Asheville, North Carolina.

Berzins and her husband built the list after losing their restaurant and going bankrupt during the 2008 recession. She says they swore they would never live on credit again.

The family of four lived in the house for almost four years while saving to build their current house next door.

Berzins says their personal experience and a clear and accurate description of the property have contributed to their success.
