Seth Rogen rents Houseplant headquarters for $55 a night on Airbnb

Seth Rogen will be at the Houseplant headquarters to greet guests for three nights this month.

Jhe stylish Los Angeles bungalow, previously featured in a Architectural Summary round, has one of the largest collections of vintage ashtrays in the world and guests will get a pottery lesson from Rogen himself in the in-house studio. The best part? The price is only $42 (about $55) per night.

However, budding potters will need to act quickly, as the house is only available for three nights. US residents will be able to book their stay beginning February 7 at 10:00 a.m. PT at airbnb.com/houseplant.

On the Airbnb ListingRogen writes that guests will also be able to enjoy a collection of yet-to-be-released vinyl box sets, featuring songs handpicked by Rogen and his creative partner Evan Goldberg, and binge on a fully stocked fridge.

“The mid-century style and views of Los Angeles also have a distinct houseplant feel to them. And there’s the fact that I’ll be there to welcome you, which, given that I’m the founder, adds to the Houseplant-ness. I AM HOUSE PLANT!!!” Rogen writes.

When it comes to cannabis, guests are welcome to indulge on the property, but not inside the house.

In a tweet, AirBnB notes that “no Cannabis products will be made available or provided to guests during stays.

Available February 15, 16 and 17, proceeds from the partnership with Airbnb will benefit Hilarity for Charity, a nonprofit founded by Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller that focuses on the care, prevention and support of Alzheimer’s disease.

Last year, two Rogen’s Superfans pony a total of $80,000 for the charity for the chance to smoke weed with Rogen and take a pottery class. OOther attendees took in a private cooking class with Momofuku chef David Chang, a skateboarding session with Tony Hawk and a signed guitar and private virtual concert by John Mayer.

In total, the event raised US$860,000 for the care, prevention and support of Alzheimer’s disease. Miller Rogen’s mother died of Alzheimer’s disease in 2020.

As for Houseplant, the brand has focused on packaging, design and housewares since taking stakes in Canada and relocating to California.

The firm worked with Pràctica, an international architecture and design agency, as well as Ma-Ma, a multidisciplinary design studio based in New York, to propose Houseplant’s redesigned packaging.

During the AD tour, Rogen said the company is focused on creating innovative and engaging packaging for Houseplant products.

“As someone who smokes weed all day, every day, and has a home where they would like to reflect their sensibilities, who they are, and their tastes, I had a hard time furnishing my home with a way that compliments the fact that I smoke weed all day, every day,” Rogen explained.

Rogen is also a longtime supporter of advancing Alzheimer’s disease research and even spoke about the cause at a 2014 US Senate hearing.
