James ‘Murr’ Murray comes to the Wilbur Theater in Boston

If you’ve seen “Impractical Jokers,” you know the hysterical cast. I watched the band for years on TV and even saw them twice on one of their comedy tours in Boston.

In case you don’t know The Impractical Jokers, they’re a group of friends from New York who challenge each other to do crazy things for national TV (and movies). However, their group name really isn’t the Impractical Jokers. It’s just what they call their show. The comedy group really goes through The Tenderloins.

Together they have put together a great show that will have you reminiscing about episodes of the show and giving you new content that you may not have known about. I’ve not only seen these guys live, I’ve even seen Sal Vulcano’s stand-up show when he was touring alone. Again, it was a great show.

However, someone else from the group will go on stage solo. James Murray, otherwise known as Murr, will perform at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, MA on Friday, April 8.

I’ve actually met Murr in the past, and he’s by far one of the coolest people I’ve met. I may have even worn the same pair of glasses for years because he told me they were cool.

According to The Wilbur, Murr is a Staten Island native and is not just an actor, but a writer and executive producer. With all his years in comedy, he’s sure to put on a great show.

Let’s take a minute to talk about the step Murr will take. I’ve been to the Wilbur several times and can tell you it’s one of the best places to watch a comedy show. It’s a small theater and no matter where you sit you will feel close to the person(s) on stage.

Every time I’ve been to the Wilbur, I’ve always had interactions with the performer (before, during, and after the show). Plus, they make great drinks too. Don’t knock it over while you’re laughing.

The Wilbur is also in the heart of Boston and just down the street from the Boston Commons, so there’s plenty to do before and after the show.

James Murray will take the stage at the Wilbur Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 8. Tickets are still on sale here.
