A First Generation Z Congressman Was Denied A DC Apartment Due To Bad Credit

He tells us he believes it’s important to share his struggle so people understand how difficult it is to get into positions of power…at least, if you’re not already loaded.
Florida Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, the first Gen Z candidate to run for Congress, said he tried to apply for an apartment in Washington, D.C. – but was turned down due to of low credit.
Frost, 25, let out his housing frustrations on Thursday, tweeting … “I just applied for an apartment in DC where I told the guy my credit was really bad. He said I would go well. I was refused, I lost the apartment, and the application fee.”
He says, “It’s not for people who don’t already have money,” before answering some follow-up questions – mostly telling people his credit has crashed because of all the debt. which he contracted while running for Congress.
He added, not joking, “Hasn’t made enough money with Uber itself to make a living.”
Frost greets his fellow representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezwho he says went through the same thing 4 years ago…highlighting how history repeats itself.
He ends his post by pointing out that his credit should go back up once he gets his new salary, but adds… ‘We need to do better for the whole country.’
