AirBnb cracks down on NYE parties in Las Vegas

Everybody knows that Vegas is one of the most popular places for new year’s eve. So it stands to reason that the party options would be plentiful. But when you’re a tourist with no property in the city, your options for hosting a party are limited. You can’t really go crazy in a hotel without alerting neighbors and staff.

So what should a tourist do when he wants to throw a big party? Well, in years gone by Airbnb properties have been a very popular option. Not anymore. Airbnb announced that he was going to impose very strict guidelines to prevent unauthorized parties at someone else’s house.

Airbnb owners trust him to look after their properties. And coming home to a ransacked house because someone didn’t treat your house like their own… well, that sucks. And I imagine it hurt the business as a whole if they lose customers because of it.

To prevent owners from starting 2023 on the wrong foot, Airbnb will be extending the same booking guidelines they have had since 2020. The company has announced that it will be banning some one-night bookings for new year’s eve, especially on rentals of entire houses. They will allow bookings from accounts with a positive rental history. But won’t allow it for accounts with no positive ratings or no history at all.

This measure is not only taken in Vegasbut all over the country with Airbnb. In a statement with 13 Action Newsthe company said: “We continue to take a hard line on disruptive parties and emphasize safe and responsible travel during a weekend when we know some may be more inclined to try and throw a party not permitted.”

Airbnb estimates that, since 2020, they have helped reduce the rate of party incidents worldwide by 56% through these guidelines. Thanks, Airbnb! We appreciate you taking care of our owners at Vegas!

5 Coolest Airbnbs in Las Vegas

If you are a Vegas veteran then you know that The band has some of the finest hotel rooms in the world. But tucked away on the outskirts of the shiny Strip are some of the coolest Airbnbs in Las Vegas.

From classic mid-century modern casino style and even over-the-top, these Airbnbs are for the Vegas traveler who want to see another side of Sin City.

If you are planning a trip to Vegas soon and have already tried hotels, we recommend you try an interesting Airbnb! Take a group of friends and go for a nice Airbnb that will make you feel like you are in a resort. This list is also for Las Vegas locals who are looking for a getaway away from their everyday landscape.

But, if you are considering staying at one of these Airbnbs, we want to clarify something. Don’t expect to throw a wild party with people wall to wall. Recently, the connection between Las Vegas and Airbnb made news last year when the company proposed a global ban on all parties. When this rule was implemented, Airbnb said party reports dropped by 77% in Las Vegas alone, according to Channel 8.

In fact, Clark County has taken additional steps to enforce this rule. There is a 24-hour phone number for reporting issues to the county and code enforcement officers to investigate these “party complaints”.

So, it’s safe to say that renting an Airbnb in Las Vegas doesn’t mean you’re turning the property into a “Project X” part two movie anytime soon. But despite this little rule, staying at an Airbnb is an experience that goes beyond the glitz, glamor and grandeur of the Strip.

Below are some of the coolest Airbnbs in Las Vegas that will give you a different trip that isn’t regular. See the fun list below of these cute, fun and amazing properties.
