It sounds like a dream situation!
Airbnb is looking for an adventurous person to participate in its €1 house project and live in the Sicilian town of Sambuca for a year, rent free!
The lucky contestant will live in a traditional three-story townhouse, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a large living space on the upper floor.

They also have the choice of bringing a friend, or their family, to live with them year-round.
The potential candidate will have a passion for nature, Italian culture and for having played its part in the revival of Sambuca. They are asked to ensure that they will commit to welcoming and contributing to the life of the village during their stay.

In exchange for living in the townhouse rent-free, one of the bedrooms in the house will need to be rented out on Airbnb for at least nine months during the year, however, you will be able to keep any Airbnb income earned during of the year!
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, there are a few requirements.
- Applicants must be over 18 years old
- You must be available to move to Sambuca from June 30, 2022 and stay in Sambuca for at least 3 consecutive months
- Candidates must have conversational English (Italian lessons will be given during their stay)
