‘Ales and Tails’ event brings together craft beers and rescue dogs

Come for the beers, stay for dogs.

“Ales and Tails” by Lake Compounce the event takes place every Saturday and Sunday from September 10 to 25. The new event should bring together craft beers Connecticut breweries and give viewers a chance to meet and greet adoptable dogs.

“Ales and Tails” partners with local animal shelters to allow people to not only meet the dogs, but also learn more about the organizations as a whole. Different shelters and organizations will be present at the event on different days. The schedule can be seen below:

Meriden Humane Society– September 10 and 24

dog star rescue– September 11 and 25

Army Legacy Animal Rescue– September 17 and 18

In terms of beer, “Ales and Tails” features breweries from across the Nutmeg state, like Stony Creek Brewery in Branford and Thomas Hooker Brewery in Bloomfield. There should be a range of beer types to sample, from IPAs to Lagers to Ales.

Event-goers must purchase one-day admission tickets to Lake Compounce, which are $39.99 per person online from $59.99 at the door. Lake Compounce pass holders can attend the event as included in their pass.
