FFormer Disney Channel star Hilary Duff has blasted Russian President Vladimir Putin for his war in Ukraine, saying she hopes his existence is “so lonely, tortured and empty”.
“GREED. F****** Putin. I hope his existence is so LONELY, TORTURED and EMPTY,” the actress wrote in an Instagram post on Friday. “Money doesn’t make people happy. It can make your life easier, but my only hope is that, by God’s grace, his life will be miserable.”
“Why and how can the world be like this? How can humans do these things to each other? Feeling helpless and drained and angry and really wanting to share,” she added.
“I’m also very sad for the Russian people. I can’t imagine they want to be involved in this,” Duff said.
The actress, who once starred in Disney’s Lizzie McGuire, is now a Hulu series lead how i met your fathera spin-off of the hit CBS series how I Met Your Mother.

Fellow actors Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher announced Friday that their Stand with Ukraine fundraiser has raised more than $30 million.
“Our work is not done. We will do everything in our power to ensure that the outpouring of love that has taken place through this campaign has maximum impact on those in need,” said wrote Kutcher, adding that they were “overwhelmed with gratitude” for donations.
The fundraiser was created in cooperation with Flexport.org and Airbnb.org on March 4. The effort is especially important for Kunis, as she was born in Ukraine.

More than 65,000 people donated to the fundraiser, according to the couple.
