Apple’s AirTag 4-pack drops to $89

Apples Air beacons aren’t on sale often, but we’re now seeing a solid supply from two separate retailers. You can pick up a four-pack at Amazon and best buy for $89, just a dollar more than the best deal we have seen so far. The offer is useful if you want to track multiple items, and unlike the previous Woot offer, both companies have generous return policies.

If you’re in Apple’s ecosystem, AirTags give you some big advantages over competing trackers from Tile and others. Ultra-wideband functionality provides precise tracking with iPhone 11 (and later) devices as you approach, so you can tell if your missing item is under a sofa cushion or behind a chair, for example. Meanwhile, the AirTag network enabled by all Apple device users allows you to find a missing bag that might be further away.

The coin-sized design is nice and simple and you will get a seamless experience through Find My App. You can also force the AirTag to chime to help you locate your item more easily if you are near it. However, it doesn’t have a built-in key fob like competing devices, so you’ll have to purchase additional accessories like the $35 leather key fob.

The main downside is that it only works with Apple devices, so Android users will have to look elsewhere, and battery life is also limited. Still, if you’re in Apple’s ecosystem, you can now buy one for an extra discount without worrying about returns or warranty.
