Aruba highlights key tourism developments for 2023

Aruba continues to enjoy a strong pandemic recovery as the island’s Tourism Authority (ATA) detailed its upcoming tourism product developments for 2023. The One Happy Island recorded visitor arrivals over the year 2022 reaching 98% of 2019 levels and tourism.

Notable developments are led by the inauguration of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort, which will open its doors to customers on February 1. Conveniently located across from famed Eagle Beach, this all-suite resort will feature 330 spacious, upscale suites with panoramic ocean and island views, each equipped with a separate living room, private bedroom, and wet bar. Outside of the suites, guests will enjoy an expansive pool, three restaurants, meeting space, fitness center, and soon a spa and casino.

In addition to this major opening, several hotels are in the process of or have recently completed major upgrades.

The Ritz Carlton, Aruba began 2023 with the launch of new island-inspired designs for all rooms, suites and hallways.

End of 2022, Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort has completed renovations to all one bedroom suites on the property. In December 2022, Radisson Blu Aruba welcomed the winner Gastronomy of the senses on-site restaurant, which offers a renowned chef’s table experience, as well as an a la carte option. Complementing these hotel developments and new activities are new resources aimed at making travel to and from the island even more convenient.

In December 2022, Aruba Airport Authority and Customs and Border Patrol unveiled a remote registration center for U.S. citizens, allowing U.S. visitors to easily apply for this certification that reduces time and improves their experience of leaving Aruba.

Additionally, Aruba will soon unveil the Aruba Happy One Passwhich will allow travelers to optimize the airport check-in process and health requirements as part of their arrival on the island.
