Birmingham Police investigate deadly shooting in Inglenook

Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide in the Inglenook area on Saturday evening. Officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of North 43rd Street at 10:15 p.m. on a report of someone down. When officers arrived on the scene, they say they found the victim lying unresponsive in the backyard of a house that appeared to have been shot down. Birmingham Fire and Rescue teams pronounced him dead. Police believe the victim may be a teenager or young adult. Police do not believe he lived in the area. The police are trying to inform the family. Currently, there is no one in custody.
