BREAKING: MELT, one of Birmingham’s favorite food trucks is back
A Birmingham favorite we all love is making a comeback. We are thrilled to announce that MELT is bringing back its food truck serving all your favorite dishes. Read on to learn more about it. gate news.
MELT’s new food truck
You might remember MELT’s old food truck, Matilta, a while ago. Unfortunately, they had to sell Mathilde because of old age. But back by popular demand, MELT presents its new truck, AKA “Maddy”.
“We loved having a food truck. This is where we started and how we decided to plant roots in Avondale. The community was and has been so supportive of [us] over the years and we are delighted to ‘go back to our roots’.

They now have the truck in their possession. Basically, all that remains is to label the truck with their logo. You can expect the food truck to take a ride after the New Years. Nothing is Cheddar only that !
What is on the menu?
The food truck menu will contain all the favorite dishes you know and love. Similar to the menu at the MELT Avondale location, you can expect to see these classics:
- mac melts (arguably Birmingham’s most iconic dish)
- the buffalo melts
- fried pickles (arguably some of Bham’s best, especially dipped in their jalepeno ranch!)
- pancake background
- Chicken Bacon Ranch (MIAM)
How to find the food truck
Can’t wait for some mac-n-cheese? We neither ! From 2022, you will be able to find the truck by following their social networks. They will display when and where the truck will be.
BONUS: You can also book an event and have the food truck come to YOU. All you have to do is email them at [email protected].
Of course, the Avondale and Hoover locations are still open. So if you’re in the mood for a bite to eat right now, this is your sign to head for a bite to eat.
