Double Midnight Comics heads to The Factory on Willow

November 26—The owners of Double Midnight Comics announced this week plans to move the popular Maple Street store to The Factory on Willow at 252 Willow St. early next year.

Chris and Scott Proulx, co-owners of Double Midnight Comics, announced this week on social media, along with their friend and business partner, Brett Parker, that they were moving their Manchester location to the high street after two decades at 245 Maple St.

“We are excited for a new chapter,” said Chris Proulx.

Chris said that after surviving the pandemic, he and Scott were ready to expand the popular store, hoping to provide “more experiences for comic book fans and collectors.”

“When we were looking to expand our space, we made sure our new location was always close to our east side location so we could continue to serve our loyal clientele,” Chris said in a statement. “We are delighted that the new location offers visibility in a booming area, for new customers to find us and also easy access with parking and ground floor entrance. It is a big bonus that It also has event space, a food truck patio and on-site apartments.”

The extra square footage of their future new home provides Double Midnight Comics with several dedicated gaming spaces, where players will compete in card games like Magic: the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon as well as role-playing games like classic Dungeons & Dragons.

The site will also allow Double Midnight to host birthday parties and private events, which Chris says customers have been requesting for years.

“The Factory on Willow has impressive event space and Airbnbs to host actors, wrestlers and graphic novel writers, which will give us the opportunity to expand our special events and serve new audiences” , Brett Parker said in a statement.

The Factory on Willow is already home to shops like Loon Chocolate, 603 Charcuterie and Cottage Candle.

“We welcome the amazing community of comic book lovers and the team at Double Midnight Comics to take over our first floor commercial space,” said Liz Hitchcock, developer and owner of the Factory, in a statement. .

Chris said a storewide sale is underway at Double Midnight this week to “help keep the light moving.”

Move-in day at The Factory on Willow is scheduled for January 1st.
