Glamping at Mammoth Cave? Look no further than this unique Airbnb

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. – Nestled in cave country, a scenic outdoor evening awaits. At Noble Pine Campground & Horse Camp, a family relocated to Florida owns a pretty cool Airbnb.

Closed for a few years, the Claxton family of Florida bought and reopened Noble Pine, and now Kristen and Eric Claxton run not just a horse camp but a glamping site. On the property are two comfortable tents and an A-frame to provide a relaxed night. With full showers just yards away, warmth and a plethora of farm animals in the stable, the Claxtons are just hoping to facilitate a night of peace.

“The tents have everything so they have dishes, they have barbecue, snacks, microwave, fridge, in the summer we have air conditioning.” the husband and wife told News 40 in an interview.

Kristen said she and the rest of the family love camping and have ‘tried’ it a few times, but admitted you could end up in a puddle if you put your tent in the wrong place . Kristen told the station that she just wanted their property to look like a place you want to be. After pitching the tents in October 2021, the married team looked to make additions in the future, potentially a cooking house.

But the property is still originally a horse camp, so you can take them too if you want. Let the Claxtons know, and you’re set.

Unfortunately things are not done with a wave of the hand, but it was sincerely communicated that they try to be as accommodating as possible. “If people decide they don’t want to have a birthday weekend, we’ll make meal plans with people…” Mr Claxton added.

The property is available on Airbnb, but Kristen said if you want to save a few bucks you can go straight to noblepine.net or call 270-286-8130.
