Hollywood casting agents are looking for Scottish actors and actresses to play extras in a trio of blockbuster productions set to shoot in the central belt this month.

The company, GBM Casting, has had extras appear on hit shows like Outlander, Succession and Peaky Blinders are looking for extras in upcoming blockbusters.

Graeme Miller, founder of GBM Casting has worked on some of the biggest Scottish films in Hollywood history and encouraged anyone interested in appearing in a big budget Hollywood film to apply.

He said: “There’s no such thing as a good look – this is an opportunity for absolutely anyone looking for a part-time job with a bit more stardust!

“While we were looking for an interesting and diverse mix of people, we were specifically asked to find more redheads. We are also on the hunt for night owls as one of the productions we are working on will be shot mostly at night.

The call comes as more major productions choose to shoot in Scotland following the success of big-budget blockbusters such as Indiana Jones 5, The Batman, Fast and Furious 9 and The Flash.

Filming is expected to begin before the end of the year for Amazon Studios and BBC Productions Good Omens 2 and Amazon Studios Anansi Boys, both of which will be filming in and around Edinburgh.

The GBM Casting team even took to the streets of Glasgow and Edinburgh this week to unearth the best visiting and supporting artists.

Graeme added: “Hollywood is increasingly looking to Glasgow and Edinburgh. The Scottish film industry has never been busier.

“It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Things began to change after World War II as more and more studios looked to Glasgow to provide a more profitable alternative to New York.

“But with recent investment in quality studios in Bathgate and Leith, the floodgates have well and truly opened.”

Filming will take place over the next three months, you can register your interest in appearing as an extra in a major Hollywood production here.
