Glasgow taxi driver who forced teenage girl to perform sex act on him in taxi jailed for 21 months
A TAXI driver who forced a teenage girl to perform a sex act on him in his car has been jailed for 21 months.
Adil Taj, 42, pounced on the 17-year-old girl who thought she was kidnapped while traveling from Glasgow city center on September 6, 2019.

Taj scared the girl when he asked to kiss her, stopped the car and jumped into the back seat.
He also slapped a 21-year-old Spanish student after she rented him a room in her apartment in Springburn, in the city, also in September 2019.

Taj was found guilty by a jury of two charges of sexual assault after a trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Joan Kerr also put Taj on the sex offender registry for 10 years today.
The court heard Taj tell the first girl he could take her home in his taxi after he missed his train from Glasgow Central at midnight.
She said: “He looked at the mirror in the front of the car and said I was a pretty girl.
“He asked me to kiss him, I was scared, I thought he was going to kidnap me.
“He stopped the car and came to the back and unzipped his pants.”
The girl then said Taj grabbed her hand and made her perform a sex act on him before driving her home.
She said, “I was crying in my room…I went to the police station the next day.
The second wife rented a room at Taj on AirBnB when she was 19 because it was the cheapest in town.
She said: ‘I told him I was stressed and had pain in my hands while working as a waitress in a restaurant.
“He took my hands and massaged them and I thought that was really awkward.
“I pulled my hand away…I told him I was going to go back to bed and he said he wished he could kiss me – I was shocked.
“I told him I had a boyfriend and I wasn’t interested in old people.”
Prosecutor Chris Farrell asked her how he felt and she replied, “That old men are garbage.”
The woman said she continues to check her bank balance online to see if she can afford to move to another AirBnB.
She claimed to have been called into the kitchen by Taj the following night while wearing her pajamas.
The woman said, “When I turned my back to go to my room, he slapped me on the buttocks.
“I turned around and told him he was a pervert and he was an old man, called him an asshole and fucked you.”
Kevin Corr, defender, said today that Taj maintains his innocence and is still supported by his partner.
