IT WILL BE ANOTHER PLEASANTLY COLD NIGHT WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING TO MID TO TEEN UP OVERNIGHT AND EARLY MONDAY MORNING. MAYBE AS LOW AS 17 IN JASPER FOR HAMILTON FAYETTE. COLEMAN, 19 DEGREES IN BIRMINGHAM AND AUSTIN. WHAT ABOUT 15 IN GADSDEN? AT THE FIRST THING OF TOMORROW MORNING, AT LEAST THE WINDS ARE EASING TONIGHT. SO WE DON’T HAVE THAT WIND CHILL. ALSO DEAL WITH THESE COLD TEMPERATURES. VERY GOOD. CHECK THE WEATHER PATTERN OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS. A VERY INTERESTING SYSTEM COMING OUT OF THE NORTHWEST AS WE DRIVE ON OUR MONDAY. SOME LIGHT SNOW LIKELY OVER PARTS OF TENNESSEE. GIVE LOTS OF DRY AIR UP HERE. THOSE WHO WILL BE DIFFICULT TO GET A LOT OF THIS TO DRIVE OUR PATH. BUT I WOULDN’T BE SHOCKED IF THERE ARE A FEW FLURRIES OVER PARTS OF CENTRAL ALABAMA FOR A LATE WEATHER FROM TOMORROW AFTERNOON THROUGH TOMORROW EVENING. IMPACTS NOW WE EXPECT NO IMPACTS, NO ACCUMULATIONS, ANYTHING THAT, BUT DEFINITELY SOMETHING TO WATCH. MAYBE A FEW FLURRIES WITH CLOUDY SKIES AND THESE COOL TEMPERATURES AGAIN AS WE PASS ON MONDAY. MODELS SHOWING MAYBE JUST A LITTLE OF THIS HERE FOR AREAS NORTH OF I-20. EVERYTHING OUTSIDE HERE. MORE SUNSHINE IN FORECAST BEGINNING ON TUESDAY WITH THESE MODERATE HIGH TEMPERATURES, IN FACT HIGH TEMPERATURES RETURNED INTO THE UPPER 40S ON TUESDAY. IT’S GOING TO FEEL VERY GOOD. YEAR HIGH 50 WEDNESDAY, AROUND 65 DEGREES FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES. THURSDAY ACTUALLY TEN DEGREES ABOVE FOR THE END OF DECEMBER. BUT WITH HOTTER WEATHER, MORE UNSTABLE WEATHER, RAIN, THUNDERSTORMS ARE RETURNING TO FORECAST FOR WEEKEND AND HEADING NEXT WEEKEND. IT’S NEW YEAR’S WEEKEND. BY THE TIME WE ARRIVE FRIDAY AFTERNOON, A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE, SOME HEAVIER RAINS ARRIVING IN FROM THE WEST, ESPECIALLY BY FRIDAY EVENING. FRIDAY NIGHT, LOOK, IT’S SATURDAY. NEW YEAR’S EVE LOOKS LIKE AN INJURY WITH RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE FORECAST. AT THIS TIME I SEE NO SIGNS OF ANY KIND OF MAJOR WEATHER OUTBREAK WITH THIS. BUT CERTAINLY IT SEEMS WET WEATHER AND POSSIBLY HEAVY RAINFALL TOTALS WITH THIS SYSTEM AS IT MOVES INTO FRIDAY AND HEADS INTO THE NEW YEAR. LOOKS LIKE NEW YEAR’S DAY. DRY WEATHER SHOULD BEGIN TO SEE THE RETURN. HERE IS A SNAPSHOT OF OUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. COLD TOMORROW MORNING BACK INTO THE TEENS FOR TEMPERATURES OF 41 TOMORROW AFTERNOON. CLOUDY SKY. POSSIBILITY THERE COULD BE A FEW FLURRIES TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY. WARMER HIGHS IN THE MID 60. THURSDAY AFTERNOON. THIS RAIN ON FRIDAY LOOKS LIKE STORM WEATHER UNTIL SATURDAY. NEW YEAR’S EVE. DRITER AND HOTTER NEW YEAR’S DAY. TOPS US

COLD AGAIN TONIGHT Okay, we sound like a broken record, but tonight will be another very cold night in central Alabama. The dips in most places will be in the mid to upper teens. BUT it’s the last night with teenagers prevalent in the forecast! Monday brings a bit more “interesting” weather down south. As the arctic air recedes, a fast mower moves along the border producing light snow for Tennessee and possibly parts of northern Alabama as well. A few showers will be possible north of I-20, but that’s about it for us here in central Alabama. Highs will be in the 40s during the afternoon. SEVEN-DAY FORECAST The warmer days are coming! You can expect highs in the 60s by the end of the coming week, and rain (as well as storms) is coming for the new year. In fact, this system can produce quite large precipitation totals.
