Heinous crime in Oklahoma featured in new Netflix show

There’s a new true crime documentary netflix called “Girl in the Picture” which covers one of the most bizarre and heinous crimes ever committed in Oklahoma. The story tragically includes the kidnapping and murder of a small child as well as an unsolved hit-and-run accident, more like a murder, which is still under investigation to this day. Not to mention the shocking real identity of one of the victims in this senseless affair.

The story centers on the 1990 case of Tonya Dawn Huges who was found on the side of the road after being hit by a vehicle. She was taken to hospital but sadly died from the injuries she sustained in the crash. Was it an accident or was it murder? When police and investigators began working on the case, it turned into one of the most horrific crimes ever committed in Early State.

You can watch the new documentary “Girl in the Picture” on Netflix. It was released for rebroadcast on (07-06-22). It’s definitely worth watching and will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. It has all kinds of crazy twists throughout and will sometimes make you wonder “is this real, did this actually happen?” This story is so crazy, sickening and heartbreaking, it’s to the point of being unbelievable.

How did it happen? This poor woman has spent her entire life being abused and living in utter fear, not only for herself but also for her child. It seems that everyone around her, in the end, failed to save her despite all the warning signs and cries for help. In their defense, I doubt anyone who knew Tonya Dawn Huges could have imagined what she was going through and the tragic story her untimely death would ultimately tell us.

If you’ve watched the videos above, you’ll agree that this is one of the cruelest and weirdest crime stories or cases to ever come out of Oklahoma, and that’s saying a lot.
