HopSkipDrive, the safe and innovative transportation solution for families, school districts and government agencies, today announced the launch of its service in Tampa, Florida. HopSkipDrive now operates in 21 major markets in 11 states and Washington DC, and has contracts with more than 300 school districts and county government agencies across the country.

HopSkipDrive is thrilled to have the opportunity to help alleviate some of the many transportation challenges Tampa-area families face today when it comes to getting kids where they need to go.

“I am thrilled to launch HopSkipDrive in Tampa,” said Joanna McFarland, co-founder and CEO of HopSkipDrive. “As a busy mother of two, I understand the challenges many families face when trying to balance work demands and family transportation needs. I am happy to be able to bring HopSkipDrive to families who need us.

A practical transport solution for families

Tampa-area parents and caregivers will be able to use the HopSkipDrive app to request rides with HopSkipDrive CareDrivers — each of whom have undergone extensive background checks and have a required five-year caregiver experience — to children aged at least six years old.

Says one parent who has relied on HopSkipDrive to help manage their family’s complicated transportation needs, “HopSkipDrive has been a wonderful service. The CareDrivers have been absolutely wonderful – they’ve been a godsend to me. I can rest comfortably knowing that despite being at work downtown, my daughter can participate in after-school programs and is assured of a safe and reliable ride home. »

Rides can be booked as little as eight hours in advance or by 7 p.m. the day before for morning rides. Parents can customize ride instructions and provide details on things like carpool lines, pick-up and drop-off notes, sign-in/sign-out requests, and more.

Before the ride, parents receive a profile picture of their HopSkipDrive CareDriver, which they can share with their child. During the ride, parents receive progress alerts at every step. Additionally, HopSkipDrive’s Safe Ride Support Team continuously monitors each ride, proactively addressing potential issues and maintaining direct communication with parents and CareDrivers.

Safety first with unmatched industry standards

HopSkipDrive provides a unique transportation solution that combines sophisticated technology with deep operational expertise to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone using the HopSkipDrive platform. HopSkipDrive’s meticulous approach to safety begins with highly trained caregivers behind the wheel (known as “CareDrivers”) and extends to all aspects of company operations.

Each HopSkipDrive CareDriver has at least five years of experience providing care and must pass a rigorous 15-point certification process, including fingerprinting, background checks and ongoing driving record checks. CareDrivers on the HopSkipDrive platform must use a four-door vehicle less than 10 years old, and vehicles must pass an annual inspection by a certified mechanic. HopSkipDrive CareDrivers have safely traveled over 20 million miles and transported over 1.4 million passengers to date.

HopSkipDrive is actively seeking CareDrivers in the Tampa area. Being a CareDriver is a unique experience that comes with many benefits, including a competitive salary of up to $40/hour, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to make a difference by helping families in the local community.
