How a thin woman fell in love with an obese man

Sienna Keera, 27, has traveled halfway around the world to meet her plus-size fiancé George Keywood, but people can’t believe she would want to be with him.

I settled on the couch with my fiancé George after putting our two-year-old son, Oliver, to bed for the night.

Opening ICT Tac, the video sharing site, I saw one of ours going viral. Immediately, I went to the comments section.

“Time to put them out,” I told George.

We often received nasty comments about our relationship, saying things like I’m only with George for the money and the influence. It broke my heart. It was also infuriating because I had made such a commitment and uprooted my whole life for my romantic relationship.

It all started in 2018 at his home in Sydney. Browsing through Netflix I came across the British show people do nothinga mockumentary about a west London pirate radio station called Kurupt FM.

As I watched, I became more and more drawn to the funny character of Craig, played by George Keywooda plus size man with beautiful eyes.

One evening, I decided to contact him on Instagram. It wasn’t something I would normally do, but I felt drawn to him.

I love your show so much, you are so funnyI sent him a message.

Due to jet lag, his response came a few hours later.

Thank you. What do you like about it? he asked me.

We started exchanging messages for a while, becoming friends and then flirtatious.

At that time, I was planning a trip to Europe with my friend. But when she had to cancel her travel plans, I decided to go alone to London, Amsterdam and Paris.

The day before I arrived in the UK, I messaged George.

I will be in London tomorrow. I would like to see youI wrote.

I would lovehe has answered.

Arrived at my Airbnb, I did my best to recover from the long flight. I was overflowing with nervousness about meeting George. What if it was different in person and really awkward? I worried.

But when George arrived, with his beautiful smile and a bottle of vodka, all those fears disappeared.

“Hey,” he said pulling me in for a hug.

From that moment on, we were inseparable. He took me to the Tate Modern gallery and to dinner, showing me all the sights London had to offer.

I invited him to do the rest of my trip with me and we spent the next six weeks living in a romantic bubble.

I was shocked when people recognized him on the street, asked for a photo and stopped to chat.

As our journey continued, conversations turned to whether our relationship could continue if I returned to Australia.

“If I move, I’ll have to start my acting career over again,” he said.

“That’s right,” I nodded. “I don’t really have a job that I like back home, and London is so beautiful. I want to move to be with you.

At the end of our trip, I applied for a visa and returned home to pack up my life.

In Sydney, I sat mum and dad in their kitchen.

“I’m moving to London to be with George,” I told them.

Mom’s mouth opened, while Dad sat there wide-eyed.

“You just met him. We don’t know him,” mum said worriedly.

“I know it sounds unbalanced, but I just know he’s my person. We can arrange a meeting

you on Skype,” I replied.

That’s exactly what we did and my parents quickly understood why I loved him.

Soon after, I started living with George in London. A few months later, we went on vacation to Venice, Italy.

One evening we were sitting on a gondola with the gondolier singing in the background. The city was beautiful and my heart felt so full.

George then pulled out a small box.

“Would you marry me?” He asked.

I started crying. “Sure!” I say hugging him.

A few months later, I got pregnant. I was nervous about becoming a mom, but George supported me through it all.

When we welcomed little Oliver into the world, we immediately fell in love with him.

But just as our family was growing, the world shut down.

Like so many others during the pandemic, I turned to TikTok to ease my boredom. George and I thought doing funny, sarcastic skits would be fun and lighten the mood for others.

We didn’t expect our account to blow up the way it did – and we didn’t expect our love affair and different looks would cause such a stir.

Because George was taller and I was thin, some didn’t believe our relationship was genuine.

With tears in my eyes, I had read the comments.

Flashes three times if you are being held against your willone person said.

Is it just a publicity stunt? another reading.

It stung but there were also some amazing remarks supporting our relationship. Eventually, I decided to focus on just those.

Besides, the only people who mattered were George, Oliver and myself.

“Don’t let them get you down, baby,” George told me, having already developed thick skin from his time in showbiz.

Our social media content allowed us to work from home, while George was between shoots, and spend more time making great memories with Oliver.

Now I ignore any negative comments on our posts and focus on the real world. My parents came for Christmas and met their grandson for the first time. Of course they love it.

I can’t wait to marry George and swear our union will last a lifetime. This should silence the naysayers – not that they matter!

Taking a chance on love like I did doesn’t always pay off – but I’m so grateful that my leap of faith did.
