Jamie Lee Curtis Confronts Michael Myers Again in ‘Halloween Ends’ Trailer

Laurie Strode is still battling masked killer Michael Myers. In the first trailer for the upcoming sequel Halloween ends, Jamie Lee Curtis resumes her role as Laurie for a final showdown against her longtime nemesis.

The trailer for the horror flick, supposedly the third and final film in director David Gordon Green’s contribution to the slasher series, came as a surprise on Tuesday night. Curtis teased the trailer on Twitter, urging fans to stay tuned for a “cake”.

Halloween ends is the 13th episode of the Halloween franchise and Green’s third. It follows the timeline established by 2018 Halloweenwhich ignored every other film in the series except John Carpenter’s 1978 original.

The film will follow the cliffhanger ending of 2021 halloween killswhich saw Laurie team up with her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) to battle Michael Myers (played by Nick Castle and stuntman James Jude Courtney).

Curtis and Matichak will reprise their roles alongside Will Patton, Kyle Richards and Omar Dorsey, and Michael O’Leary joins the cast. Green co-wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier.

Halloween ends would be the last time Curtis would play the role of Laurie Strode. The actress first played the role in a 1978 horror classic Halloween and returned to play the protagonist in several more iterations, including Halloween 2, Halloween H20and Halloween resurrection.

In February, she shared her last day of filming on Instagramwriting: “A bittersweet ending for me on the Halloween movies. I made some great friends and collaborated with wonderful artists on all three of these movies and today my role in the movie is over and with it the end for me of this trilogy.

Halloween ends will be released in theaters on October 14 via Universal Pictures.
