Jeremy Kyle – Where are they now? Crew members absent from the doc

Graham Stanier was noticeably absent from last night’s documentary

Channel 4 aired the disturbing final part of Jeremy Kyle: Death On Daytime last night (March 14), and people noticed some notable absences from the documentary.

While Kyle was the face of the tabloid talk show, the Kira Phillips exponent noted that wider members of the team have become almost as well known as the man himself. From pastoral psychologist Graham Stanier to security guard “Big Steve,” almost none of the cast participated, aside from the archival footage.

Which leads us to wonder: where are the staffers of The Jeremy Kyle Show now? And do they still work on TV?

Graham Stanier

Graham was the face of the Jeremy Kyle Show’s so-called “duty of care” team. He often showed up when guests appeared to be in deep distress – such as if a lie detector came back positive or during “special episodes” featuring people dealing with addiction issues.

Old footage included in the documentary showed the psychologist defending himself to MP Damian Collins during his investigation into the Death of Steve Dymond. “I am responsible for myself,” he said.

Although Graham no longer works in the television industry, he remains very good friends with Jeremy Kyle. According to his Instagram, the couple spent Christmas 2019 together and he attended Kyle’s wedding in October 2021 to his former nanny, Vicky. The pastoral care worker also volunteers for the NHS.

Tom McLennan

Tom McLennan – one of the executive producers of The Jeremy Kyle Show – was heavily featured throughout the documentary. Like Graham, he was present on the panel while Damian Collins conducted his investigation. The footage shows the deputy grilling Tom on the accuracy of the polygraph tests – and the executive producer didn’t seem to have an answer for him.

He still works in television sporadically, having produced other ITV daytime shows such as Judge Rinder, Judge Rinder’s Crime Stories and Yes Chef.

Lucy McLennan

Lucy McLennan is married to Tom, and they later worked together on The Jeremy Kyle Show. The documentary’s whistleblowers called Tom and Lucy a “ceiling”, in that they were the highest-level producers on the show. They also claimed the couple were not fully aware of the accusations being made behind the scenes.

Like her husband, Lucy has worked on a number of ITV daytime projects apart from The Jeremy Kyle Show. His list of credits on IMDB is extensive and includes 60 episodes of Judge Rinder’s Crime Stories, Yorkshire Airport and Jo Frost: Family Matters.

‘Security Steve’

Security Steve often had to defuse situations where guests had become violent. Contributors to Jeremy Kyle: Death On Daytime have now accused producers of deliberately winding people up for hours on end, in order to elicit extreme reactions from guests during taping.

Like all the other members of the team, Steve – surname unknown – was fired from ITV after the show was cancelled. He publicly sent love and well wishes to Steve Dymond’s family following his death. Security Steve has already been spotted outside Judge Rinder Studios since 2019 – but there are no plans for him to return to another show yet.
