Julian Albino: American vlogger accused of soiling Nairobi apartment sheets denounces harassment

Julian Albino responds after being exposed to stained sheets in rented apartment

A city businessman, through blogger Edgar Obare, reported Julian for smashing a dining table worth KSh55,000 and soiling sheets and towels in a fully furnished apartment that she had rented to him.

In the screenshots seen by TUKO.co.kethe lady claimed that Julian ran away with an unpaid bill of over KShs 70,000, and when she confronted him about why he left the house in a bad state, he rudely replied to her.

“I’m not responsible for any cleaning. That’s why you have housekeepers. I’m not a housekeeper,” he said during the conversation with the owner of the house.

The screenshots were also shared on Kenya’s official Airbnb page, warning other hosts of Julian’s behavior.

The apartment owner said the content creator blocked her everywhere. At the time he was exposed, Julian had around 5,900 followers on Instagram and he has already gained over 1,000 followers.

The 30-year-old YouTuber took to social media to respond to allegations that he soiled the sheets and left without paying his bills.

“This is not my first online harassment,” he wrote.

Julian Albino says living in Nairobi is expensive

Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that Julian, famous for his solo travels around the worlddid he reveal spent over KSh300,000 on tour in Nairobi in August 2022.

He said his expenses were broken down into four main needs: house rent, utilities, food and transportation.

Giving the update on his Chanel Youtube, Julian said that while in the country he barely cooked his meals and instead ordered food through Uber Eats, Glovo and dialed up a delivery.

For the food alone, the vlogger revealed that he spent around $600 (KSh71,500) for a month, further asking his fans and followers not to judge him.

Although traveling was Julian’s main activity, he did not own a car. using uber and lock saw him spend around KSh19,000, while KSh4,100 was spent on phone bills for a month.

The entertainment cost the Youtuber about KSh35,500 which included drinks and food in the club for him and his friends he was hanging out with. The biggest expense for Julian was the rent for the house which he paid around KSh200,000 which he said covered all utilities and housekeeping.

According to him, his experience in Nairobi was cheaper than in South Africaapart from housing which is more affordable in South Africa.
