Leeds Building Society appoints Director of Human Resources – Benefits

The Leeds Building Society (LBS) has appointed Caroline Hill, former head of human resources at KPMG, as director of human resources.

Hill joined the Yorkshire-based institution this week after a short stint as head of staff in the audit and corporate services division of professional services firm KPMG.

Previously, she spent four years as HR and Strategy Manager for Wesleyan Financial Services Mutual following 18 months as HR Operations Manager for Santander UK.

LBS said Hill’s career has included time to shape the vision and strategy that FTSE-listed companies need to create a welcoming, diverse and inclusive culture that can meet the changing needs of their businesses.

Richard Fearon, Managing Director of LBS, said, “Caroline shares our belief in purpose-driven business, and I am delighted to welcome her to the company.

“This is a time of great opportunity for the company as we consider a post-pandemic way of working.

“Caroline’s skills and experience will be invaluable as we build a diverse workforce for the future and continue to settle into our new, modern headquarters in central Leeds.”

Hill added, “I am delighted to join LBS, where our knowledgeable and talented colleagues are our greatest asset.

“We want to continue to attract, develop and retain this core talent by ensuring we have a supportive culture in place that creates an environment where people can thrive, whether that means providing learning opportunities and development or to develop hybrid work.”
