LOT Polish Airlines begins flights between Dubai and Warsaw

LOT Polish Airlines began operating flights to Dubai International (DXB) earlier this week.

The inaugural service from Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) to DXB Terminal 1 on Sunday, September 26 makes LOT one of more than 60 international carriers serving Dubai.

LOT operates three weekly direct flights on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays between its home base at WAW and DXB on a 168-seat Boeing 737-800NG with a two-class configuration.

LO121 leaves Warsaw at 7:40 a.m. and arrives in Dubai at 3:25 p.m. LO1222 leaves Dubai at 5:15 p.m. and arrives in Warsaw at 9:35 p.m.

Besides the direct flights, LOT also operates a flight between the two cities with a stopover in Istanbul. LO135 will depart from Warsaw at 13:05.

DXB’s passenger volume in the second quarter of this year totaled 4.9 million, bringing the half-year figure for 2021 to 10.6 million, a contraction of 40.9% year-on-year.

DXB serves approximately 68% of destinations in 94% of countries on 70% of airlines compared to before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

DXB recorded a total of 99,392 flight movements in the first half, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year.

The head of Dubai Airports recently said the number of international visitors could more than double next year as Covid-19 restrictions ease. “We are going to see a very big upside,” said Dubai Airports chief executive Paul Griffiths. Bloomberg Television Last week.
