Man arrested after lost property on Cape Cod Airbnb

A Massachusetts man wanted for a string of Cape Cod burglaries and financial crimes is in custody after detectives discovered stolen items from a West Yarmouth residence he was renting through Airbnb, police said. The Yarmouth Police Department reported on Monday that 39-year-old Ryan McCullough, of Boston, was arrested around 12:15 p.m. Friday after detectives executed a search warrant at the Airbnb. and residences. McCullough was treated at the Yarmouth Police Department on Friday and held there until transported to Barnstable Courthouse on Monday. Yarmouth Police detectives worked with other detectives region to determine the extent of McCullough’s crime spree. Police say more charges are expected in the coming days as victims are identified among the many assets that have been recovered from the Airbnb.

The Yarmouth Police Department reported Monday that Ryan McCullough, 39, of Boston, was arrested at around 12:15 p.m. on Friday after detectives executed a search warrant at the Airbnb.

Officials said during the search for detectives they found numerous items that had been reported stolen from motor vehicles and residences.

McCullough was treated at the Yarmouth Police Department on Friday and was held there until he was rushed to Barnstable courthouse on Monday.

Yarmouth Police detectives worked with other detectives in the area to determine the extent of McCullough’s crime spree.

According to the police, further charges are expected in the coming days, as the victims are identified among the many goods recovered from the Airbnb.
